Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CGM Comparator ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paid subscribers.

2. What the Platform Does

CGM Comparator is a research and evaluation platform that allows users to upload Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) data and prompts, send them to multiple AI language models, and compare the resulting analyses using quantitative metrics. It is intended for research and educational use only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. By registering, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information during sign-up.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload data you do not have the right to share
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Platform
• Use the Platform to provide medical advice to patients
• Upload personally identifiable health information (PHI) without appropriate safeguards
• Resell or sublicense access to the Platform without written permission
• Use automated scripts to abuse the evaluation quota system

7. Subscription and Billing

Free-tier access is provided at no charge with a limited evaluation quota. Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact us at x57yu@uwaterloo.ca.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its design, code, and original content are owned by CGM Comparator. You retain ownership of any data you upload. By uploading data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely to provide the service to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CGM Comparator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including errors or omissions in AI-generated analyses. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or harm other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
